Description:
Classic Mediterranean Architecture was the goal of the home owners on this remodel. After reworking the plans several times, architect Tai Yeh and Jack ‘N Tool Box, Inc. made sure that all the clients’ wishes were fulfilled.
In the Master Suite, the addition of 280 SF and vaulted ceilings give the clients the added space they desired. The overall spa aesthetic of the bath is the result of a blend of natural materials. The tumbled Botticino Marble tiles, countertops, thousands of pebbles and cool blue walls enhance the feeling of serenity. The tub was positioned to give the bather exceptional views out the adjacent casement windows. The Master bedroom is designed around the same extraordinary city and ocean views to the south as well as the comfort of the gas and wood burning fireplace.
Off the west side of the Master bedroom is a 168 SF covered patio which extends the old world warmth and charm of the home into the outdoors.
The entire interior of the home was repainted with a faux texture to enhance the homeowner’s art collection. A 54 SF addition to the dinning room encourages more time entertaining with friends or just enjoying the view.
The guest bathroom’s upgrades centered around comfort and fun. A similar mix of natural elements as in the Master bath with the addition of Artistic Tile’s Heraldic Tapestry mosaic tiles and a splash of color on the walls gives a sense of stylishness to the room. The ceiling is elaborately painted to mimic the outdoors. |
